Lord's long room
MCC members chanted 'cheat, cheat' slangs at Australian players

Jonny Bairstow and Alex Carey have been the talk of the town since Sunday, July 2, after the latter stumped the England keeper, while Jonny left the crease assuming that the play on that ball was dead.

Despite astonishment by the players, fans and experts, the umpires gave Bairstow out, which turned the course of the game, and Australia registered a 43-run win. After the victory, the baggy green faced humiliation from the media for not upholding the spirit of the game.

Also, an unfortunate incident occurred when the players were returning to the dressing room through the famous Lord’s long room. Aussie players Usman Khawaja and David Warner got into a heated exchange with a few MCC members who made distasteful remarks about Australia.

Following the video, which went viral, the MCC acted swiftly and suspended three of its members. In the recent video, the details of the conversation have been revealed as the players could be seen welcomed with the chants of ‘Cheat, Cheat, Cheat’ and ‘Get the sandpaper’.

Although, several other videos also floated on the internet, which showed that Jonny Bairstow had also attempted a similar kind of dismissal on the third day of the Ashes Test.
