"In one of my classrooms at the Columbus Elementary School, most of the girls groups were really timid and lacked a lot of confidence when doing the LEGO and engineering activities. Since myself and another female engineering student were teaching the class, we worked hard all semester to show them that girls can do engineering and be great at it. By the end of the semester, they were really being creative and doing a lot of good engineering work, sometimes even better than the boys. Through the last class, all of the students had gotten really enthusiastic about LEGO engineering, and it was really great to see girls branching out and really getting excited about engineering."
