Final Project- Obstacle Course |

We incorporated the lessons of the semester into a final project the last two weeks of the semester. We built an obstacle course which had first a black line of tape that needed a light sensor to find it. To the right of that we lined up a stack of books that needed a touch sensor to sense it. To the left of that, we set up another piece of black tape and a piece of string for the cars to run through. We needed to incorporate light sensors, touch sensors, and turning. Also the kids needed to build their cars so they had light and touch sensors. This was a very complex challenge for the kids. After the first week, only a handful of kids had the car turn after the first strip of black tape. I am nervous that not all the kids will be able to finish during the last class period. This may be a three week activity.
