 Today we introduced the engineering design process to our class and then had them do a tower-building activity.  They drew their designs before building them and tried to make them as sturdy as possible.  The class split up into groups of two and the groups did not work well together most of the time.  They would usually built their own structures separately.  Next time, we are going to bring more visual examples when we are teaching a lesson or explaining an activity.  We are also going to limit the kinds of legos the students can use to just beams, bricks, and plates for building activities in the future because the class often got distracted by the other pieces.
