ISB Week 6: Velociraptor

This week we did the velociraptor activity. The most notable thing about this activity was that the students built and programmed much faster than in any other week. We had planned this activity to take two weeks, but they actually finished it in one week. A big part of the reason the class worked so efficiently was because the teachers had made a big speech about the students' inappropriate behavior during STOMP. Almost all the students were successful at getting the velociraptor out of the square, and it was neat to see all of the different approaches the students took to programming the robots so that they could get out. This was the first week that I really noticed the students being able to come up with a lot of different alternatives for how to program the robots and then be able to translate these ideas into programs.
