Week 4: Going the Distance |

This week, we did the first part of the activity "Going the Distance,"
and asked the students to build a sturdy car with 2 motors and the NXT
brick. This seemed to be a slightly hit-or-miss activity, because quite
a few of the students realized what they needed to do right away, while
others needed some help from us. The main challenge in this activity
was to find a stable method of housing the NXT brick in the car - once
the students figured that part out, they could use their prior
knowledge of axles and wheels from the "Build a Sturdy Car" activity.
The difficulty of this activity was certainly higher than the
activities we've done before, but nonetheless, most of the groups had
managed to build their cars by the end of the class.
