The students started their final challenge.  This challenge combines most of the topics that we covered during the semester including gravity, potential energy, kinetic energy, friction, sturdy structures, tension, force, and ramps.  The students had to design a car that would pass the drop/ shake test, be able to travel 10 feet when placed on a ramp, and be able to carry 10 AA batteries.  At first, the students had some trouble realizing that they woud have to build some type of structure to keep that batteries in place, but after that realization they all built a holding mechanism.  Next week, they will have a few minutes to make changes to their cars and then we will hold final tests.
