We built on the light sensor challenge from last week and had the class program their robot to follow a line on the ground. We had to bring in a big piece of white paper to contrast the line against since we found out last week that the floor in the classroom doesn't work very well. Everyone already had their cars built with light sensors on, but some had to reposition the sensors so they could see the line. The activity went well, but it became apparent that one group has far more NXT experience than the rest. They have another STOMP class earlier on Friday where they use NXTs, and also use NXTs outside of STOMP another time during the week, so they've done basically every activity in the database. We plan on giving them a separate challenge next week involving gears, which they have never used before.
