Yuvraj 7

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh revealed that some of the BCCI officials turned against him for standing with his teammates during the Greg Chappell saga in 2007. It was the reason why he was not given Team India’s captaincy by the Indian Cricket Board.

Yuvraj was about to captain India but out of nowhere MS Dhoni was given the command.

“I was supposed to lead the Indian team. I entered in the bad books of some of the BCCI officials for standing with my teammates during the coaching tenure of Greg Chappell. The issue became Greg vs Sachin. It was decided to make someone else the skipper. I was removed from the vice-captaincy and out of nowhere Mahi got the leadership for the 2007 T20 World Cup,” he told Sanjay Manjrekar on Jio Cinema.
