Ben Stokes has returned to England’s playing XI for the game against South Africa at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
He was injured before the opening match of the tournament and went on to miss three clashes.
Former India player Harbhajan Singh has compared the all-rounder with Virat Kohli.
“He is a finisher like Virat Kohli. Ben Stokes fights till the end like Virat to take his team to victories,” he said.
Stokes came out of retirement to help England in the ICC World Cup 2023.
Meanwhile, Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to bowl first. Temba Bavuma was ruled out of the contest, with Aiden Markram leading the Proteas.
